I enjoy teaching because I love helping others understand concepts and guide them in applying their knowledge. Tutoring allows me the opportunity to teach on a one-to-one basis. I achieved 5A*, 4A in my GCSE exams and scored an average of 7.5 in the IELTS assessment, with no scores below 7.0. For the Grade 8 English Speaking Board assessment, I achieved a Distinction. I have had previous tutoring experience of 4 months in year 6-8 mathematics and English, and previous tutoring experience of 2 years in primary English, Maths and science. I have also prepared students for interviews.

Hobbies
Diligent, resilient and patient, I ensure my students understand the content we are covering. When it comes to learning, I believe understanding is crucial in getting good marks. To solidify and consolidate the new content, my students and I then typically move on to applying this newfound knowledge through practising questions. Having recently graduated and being a student myself, I understand the struggles students face, and am able to pick these up easily. When I see that my tutee is struggling with a tricky concept, I am flexible in adapting my teaching approach to suit each of my students' learning needs. In my spare time, I like to go to the gym, watch a movie, or go out and spend time with friends. I also love food and enjoy travelling during the holidays. I have been in Scouting for over 10 years.
